Xmas Road Trip
The People: Me, LY
The Locations: Moruya -> Bermagui -> Tilba -> Merimbula -> Eden -> Cooma -> Bemboka -> Snowy Mtn region -> Canberra
The Good: The scenery. Definitely the scenery.
The Bad: The weather.
The Ugly: The seafood.
In no particular order....
Scarecrows in Tilba :3
Don'tcha just love how they're killing 2 birds with 1 stone here...gas pump + advertisement 2-n-1!
Bluepool...i think that's the name
View from the On The Pier restaurant in Batemans Bay where we had our fancy Xmas Eve dinner...unfortunately the seafood was a major letdown; guess that's one of the downfalls of tasting seafood in Tasmania first :S
View from my place :))
It doesn't show in the pic, but it's a very pastel blue that's quite different from the other shades of blue that we saw throughout our journey. Somehow the blue there (around the Snowy Mtn region) was a very serene, semi-milky blue
Outside Miss Heidi's Teahouse! That place is pure LOVE ^^ The perfect Xmas atmosphere with the cabin and fantastic interior, meals as well as service
The berry pancake LY had :P
Mr Lizard - I'm pretty sure this was in Cooma
The something-goat's lookout lol - same place where Mr Lizard was seen
Now here's something that caught our eyes in Cooma - walls of paintings, each depicting a different aspect of....australia, I guess, from kangaroos to farmers etc. There were also the flags of different nations around, but unfortunately the Malaysian flag was nowhere to be found :P
Now this is what I call a country scenery
...And a clocktower in the middle of absolutely nowhere. And a rather short one, at that.
Cowboy and cowgirl restrooms at the cheese factory in Bega! Yeehaw!
The chocolate pizza we had at Merimbula. I was thinking of a pizza made of chocolate instead of a pizza base with Nutella slapped onto it, and when it was first dished out to us I went "Holy God" due to its unsightly appearance, but surprisingly enough it tasted pretty good.
2 different hues
LY with her Emo Pose XD lol
Our hotel room in Eden :)
Camel Rock! hehe cookies to those who can guess the reason behind the name :P
...You're probably wondering, why the random pic of scones and jam? Two reasons, actually. This was my first set of scones and jam throughout the road trip (I think after that I went to every teahouse that we saw on the way just to try their scones and jam), and there was a funny story behind this one: it was completely out of place! Five minutes into eating it, I finally realized why - they were playing cowboy music in the background and everyone else had burgers and fries!
My poor pair of glasses spontaneously self-destructed on the way to Canberra - the hinge just snapped and I was stuck without a spare pair on our glorious road trip! Fear not, for we made a quick trip to Woolies, and 5 minutes later, we secured a roll of sticky tape and proceeded to give first aid to my glasses. Fixed. My very own version of glasses a la Harry Potter.
